Each year on August 16th, I find myself reflecting on Elvis and the impact he has had on my life. Being an Elvis fan since the age of 5, I have been misunderstood by so many and honestly lost relationships because of it. Was it worth it? Absolutely – without a doubt.
It is a relationship that confuses so many people and almost gets a bad reputation. There are so many reasons why I love Elvis, but how I feel about him isn’t even something I can explain. He has a song for any occasion that as a fan I find completely comforting when I am in time of need.
Elvis has been with me through heartbreaks, devastation, trauma… but he has been with me for all of the good times as well. From meeting my husband to living out my dreams… his music has always inspired me and continues to inspire me 22 years after the first time I ever saw his face.
Thinking about it now, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” is a perfect for my love of Elvis. No one in my family was actually a fan, but when I saw his face on the cover of the TV Guide, I knew my life had changed forever – even at the young age of 5. It was love at first sight that would last a lifetime.

I am saddened that I was unable to attend Elvis Week 2018. I am incredibly thankful that I can be an Elvis fan anywhere.
41 years later and Elvis is still selling records, holding concerts and being adored by fans all over the globe. My favorite thing to say as an Elvis fan is: It’s not that we remember Elvis. We never forgot.

i’ve been a elvis fan since i was 8.back in 1988 i first heard elvis from my grandmother and have been a huge fan ever since.my dream is to go down to graceland and just see the surroundings.hopefully some day.people don’t understand why i listen to him so much but his music is timeless.from one fan to another 🙂 TCB
