“I’m by your side when times get rough”

Every time I hear this song I think of my best friend. I am lucky enough to have a best friend for life. Crystle is my sister and because of Elvis, she and I have an unbreakable bond. She and I have travelled all over for Elvis events. This is how we met our two best friends Heather and Brittany. We have connected because of Elvis but have stayed so close because of each other. Crystle and I met Heather many years ago, but because I did not lock the door to my port-a-potty at Michigan Elvis Fest we became such amazing friends.

Though we do not see each other but maybe once a year, we stay connected and talk almost every day. Whenever I hear Bridge Over Troubled Water I think about my amazing girlfriends. We went to Michigan Elvis Fest this year as my bachelorette party and when this was sung I just cried. I am just so lucky to have 3 girls in my life who not only understand my love for Elvis but share it. When I need something, they are there for me. I am so thrilled that they will be there on my wedding day as my bridesmaids. Elvis has brought me my lifelong friends and bonded me so closely to my sister that I wish I could thank Elvis himself.

Each year, I find myself making a new friend because of Elvis. There is something about Elvis fans. We all love him so much and want to share our stories with others. Though this post is dedicated to Bridge Over Troubled Water, I have to include this song in here for my girls! UFO for days. I love you ladies!!
